1. Give your honest reason: what interested you, who or what influenced you.
2. Say what you have done in it beyond the syllabus: a project, a course, a club.
3. Connect it to the job you are applying for.

The mistake to avoid.

Saying everyone told me to, or that you had no other option. Find the real positive thread.

The general method: honest, specific, brief.

The same shape works for most hr questions, whatever the topic.

• Answer the question that was asked in your first sentence.
• Back it with one specific example or fact, not a general claim.
• Tie it to this role, and stop. A calm thirty to sixty seconds is enough.
